This quote is from one of my very favorite books - Ned Vizzini’s
“It’s Kind of a Funny Story”.

This quote has been running through my mind all day long. I’ve had a lot weighing on my mind. Ideas and thoughts about all the various things I know people struggle with. The things I struggle with. All the issues that we have in our world right now,  on the individual level.

There’s just…too much. The struggles we face - eating disorders, bullying, mental illness, self-injury, suicide, sexuality, everything. And it’s getting ridiculous. How humans are treating other humans. It’s disgusting, really. And I’ve been thinking a lot about how I can help or how I can help others see how they can help.

Seriously, we need a revolution or something. We need The Shift. We need a change. We can’t keep living like this. We can’t continue playing God and judging others and hurting others.
