If people's stories were....

….water, I’d greedily swallow great gulps, fearful of letting the stories grow warm, gluttonous for the sustenance these tales provide.
….alcohol, I’d stand and stir the liquids, sipping slowly and losing myself in their power.
….iced tea, I’d sit on my porch and drink all day long.  I think this may be the best analogy.  Iced tea can be sweetened or unsweetened, much like the lives of people depending upon both their experiences and outlooks.  Iced tea can hold a hint of mint, and so many lives are as refreshing as this green leaf.  Iced tea may possess a taste of fruit like peach, adding to the juiciness and sweetness of a life story.  Iced tea can sting you slightly with a tang of lemon, just enough sass to keep you interested and remind you that not everything can be sweet.  The natural bitterness of tea is something all lives share.
